8 oz penne pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 chicken breasts, diced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 oz mushrooms, sliced

1 cup asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried thyme

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Cook the Penne Pasta:

    In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Sauté the Chicken:

        In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the diced chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

          Cook the Vegetables:

            In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and asparagus. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

              Prepare the Creamy Sauce:

                Reduce heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir to combine, then add the grated Parmesan cheese and dried thyme. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

                  Combine Pasta and Chicken:

                    Return the cooked chicken to the skillet along with the drained penne. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are well coated in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

                      Serve:
