Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Salsa and sour cream for dipping

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning, following package directions. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Pinch together any seams to create a uniform rectangle.

Add Filling: Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions over the beef.

Roll It Up: Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other to create a log. Pinch the edges to seal and tuck the ends to secure the filling.

Slice the Roll: Use a sharp knife to slice the log into 1-inch wide pieces, creating spirals or sticks. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the sticks with the beaten egg to give them a nice golden color while baking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Allow the cheese taco sticks to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
