Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1/2 cup sour cream (for dipping)

1/2 cup salsa (for dipping)

Fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning according to package directions. Add diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions to the meat mixture, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

Prepare Crescent Roll Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles.

Assemble Taco Sticks: Take a generous spoonful of the meat mixture and place it at the wider end of each triangle. Sprinkle a tablespoon of the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses on top of the meat. Roll the triangle starting from the wide end toward the tip, pinching the seams to seal.

Egg Wash: Place the rolled taco sticks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and baked through.

Serve: Allow the cheesy taco sticks to cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve with sour cream and salsa for dipping!
